Welcome to your Brainstorm course
There’s some information that all b-schools want to know about you. In the Brainstorm course, we will prepare this material. That way, we can re-use it again and again for different school applications, in their essays, video interviews, interviews and even scholarship negotiations.
Goals: All schools want to know your goals after the MBA and why those goals matter to you. Specifically, they want to know your short term goals, alternative goals (backup plan), and long term goals. They also want to know why these are your goals. And they want to know what you’ll do between now and the MBA.
Experiences: All schools want to know that you’re the kind of person that will thrive on their program. Therefore, they ask about times when you faced specific challenges in the past – in their essays but also during interviews.
We’ve put together questions to prepare the stories they care about, which tend to be around leadership, trauma, achievements, failures, teamwork and DEI. We’ll help you structure these stories using the SCAR format.
Employment: Every MBA application asks which companies you’ve worked at, which roles you had, and why you moved between those roles. We’ll write that content once here.
School Research: Schools want to see that you’ve researched their MBA program, and that you know roughly which classes you’ll take and which clubs you’ll join.
